From the North or South via Taconic State Parkway

US route 44 and NY route 55 are the main highways connecting the Taconic to Poughkeepsie.  Driving north on the parkway the NY 55 exit comes first -- driving south, you'll see the US 44 exit first. 

About eight or nine miles west of the parkway, US 44 and NY 55 merge near the Poughkeepsie City line.  After this point you'll be west-bound on a divided, three lane road with numerous cross streets. 

Continue on 44/55 until you see the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel coming up on your left.
Civic Center Plaza is the cross street that runs in front of the hotel.   As you can see in the picture, it too is one-way and you cannot make a left turn, so go around the block.   Get into the left lane and bear left around the rear of the hotel to the first cross street, which is Main Street.

Turn left on Main Street and you'll see the five story building at One Civic Center Plaza ahead on your left.

Turn left at Civic Center Plaza (in front of the building) and proceed halfway up the block to the driveway of the parking garage, which is on your right just past the bus stop.

After parking, exit the garage on the ground floor near where you drove in.  Walk outside a few yards to the North Entrance of One Civic Center Plaza.

Just in case you decided to park on Main Street, instead of in the parking garage, here's what the building entrance on Main Street looks like:.

You'll see the elevators in the middle of the hall.  The murals, painted by local artist Seth Nadel, are worth pausing to appreciate.

When you're ready, take an elevator to the fourth floor and look for my office, Suite 404, on your right as you get off the lift.

If you're expected, the door will be open - come on in!.

Getting Back Home:
As you exit the garage, turn right onto Civic Center Plaza and make your way into one of the two left turn lanes.  Turn left at the light onto US 44/NY 55 heading west.   As you bear left to go around the Grand Hotel, continue past Main Street and go one block further to the next intersection.  Turn left here, and you'll be on 44/55 heading east, back toward the parkway and home, and feeling wonderful!
